Charles C. Njoku, MD is a U.S. trained General Surgeon who has practiced in a major U.S. teaching Hospital conglomerate for over 30 years. Dr. Njoku has also established multiple outpatient clinics and Endoscopy Centers in many cities in the U.S. employing many Physicians, Nurses and other health providers in his clinics. Dr. Njoku has also volunteered his services with some of his Radiology, Pathology, Family and Internal Medicine colleagues in Medical Missions to Havana Cuba, to Nigeria and many other Countries, establishing Mammography and Women health centers in the host countries. Cancer and many diseases require a multi disciplinary and multi modality approaches in both the diagnosis and treatment of the entity. Charles C. Njoku, MD has associated himself with colleagues in Radiology, Pathology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology in the United States of America for second opinion in diagnosis and for continuity of care of his Nigerian patients.
Dr. Charles C. Njoku left his home Nigeria in early 1971 immediately after the Nigeria/Biafra civil war to the United States of America to pursue his education. He received his BS undergraduate degree majoring in Chemistry/Biology/Maths. He obtained his MD degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville Tennessee and then completed his five years General Surgery, G.I Endoscopy, Trauma, Surgical Oncology Residency, serving his Chief Surgery Residency year in 1984 at Youngstown Hospitals, now known as Western Reserve Health Systems. He is now coming back home to serve his people and contribute to improve health care delivery to our people in our beloved Nigeria.
